This year I entered 3 pieces in the Juried Art Show put on by Haldimand County Museums at the Edinburgh Museum in Caledonia. This was my first time entering my art in anything like this. I had talked myself out of entering last year out of fear that my work would be too ‘amateur’ or it would be too obvious I didn’t know what I was doing.
Fast forward to this year and 2 of my 3 pieces (which were all painted in 2021 or 2022) got chosen to be part of the show. This was an amazing show showcasing all kinds of local artists. I feel so honoured to have been a part of it and I am already planning what to enter for next year.
