After being pretty silent on here for the last year, I have finally figured out how to sign back in to update! I am hoping to be able to add what I have been up to creatively over the past year and to eventually add a shop 🙂
First off, I have closed my etsy shop. I have not decided if this is permanent or temporary but with costs increasing it was just not financially viable for me at the price I was selling. I considered raising the price of my postcards but for now that idea is on hold. Etsy had served its purpose for me. I was able to create enough of an income on there to fund my postcards and other small expenses but the shipping costs were just too high.
It has been a year of personal artistic growth. I quieted the self doubt that has held me back over the years and finally started putting myself out there in new ways. One of the most notable events was the Haldimand County Juried Art Show through Edinburgh Museum. After talking myself out of applying in 2022 I bit the bullet and submitted 3 large pieces for 2023. 2 of my 3 paintings were selected!! These were on display at Edinburgh Museum in Caledonia, Ontario for June and July. I have more things coming up and will be posting about them too 🙂
Oh, and I have Blue hair now – because if not, when??
