For the first time since 2019 I have decided to participate in the ICAD challenge on Instagram run by @Gypsy999. The gist of the challenge is to use 1 index card a day (an imperfect substrate) and create art on it. What you create or how you do it is not important and completely up to the artist. The point is to make time for creativity every day – from June 1-July31.
This year I have decided to focus on making a collage daily with stuff found in and around my desk at home – lets consider it cleaning 😉 So far they have been very quirky, and I expect the bright bold colours mixed with random items to continue!
So if you have time, or interest, I encourage you to check out the #icad2022 hashtag to check out all the cool cards created by the artists – or my personal hashtag of #CheyanneIcad2022 if you want to follow me on this journey.
Daily creative practice is so helpful to my mental health and every once in a while I need creative challenges like this to remind me of its importance 🙂
